Maybe that is what we should rename the C League Tier I. At the captain's meeting last night, it was determined that the Ale House has been using a guy who was an assistant captain at Boston College, where he scored 23 points one season. What the &^%$ does he want to play in a C League in Wake Forest NC for? They also had a junior player goalie and another guy "under investigation."
We already have 3 B teams in our league and essentially 2 levels of teams -- about half are actual C teams the others are not. This is why people get mad, and why we have stupid episodes on the ice.
This is rather harsh... but every league has its' problems. The only way to cut down on this type of stuff is to have someone watching over every game and making sure this doesn't happen. And enforce the rules they make publicly.
Sorry, but this is not the first time it happened. We've had a couple of D-I players pop up and an ECHL player (Karmanos' son) allowed to play since we've been in the league. Then, we get a Zarb and everyone gets all wound up that we've got a ringer and the league director tries to make a rule that he can't cross the blueline! At the time of all the "crap" about Zarb, I think we were 4-2. Now, we've got teams nobody can touch, and it's okay. Someone watching every game ... sounds like the job description of the league director.
